Even though this house was built in the 1800’s it has been updated with modern amenities & feels very homey. We had 12 (6 adults & our 6 grandkids) and there was plenty of room for everyone. Kids loved the candy bar & game room! The small dam & fish ladder that connects Somes Pond to Somes Sound is very peaceful & relaxing. Doug & Roseanne were always very quick with a response & local advice. We would definitely choose to stay here again!

I can't say enough good things about this place. The property itself was perfect for having a larger group. I was a little worried planning a stay for a dozen people, but it couldn't have been any better. The rooms are spaced out enough to provide privacy and the open areas are still perfect for everyone to congregate as a group. The location is also excellent. Right next to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor made "on the fly" plans very manageable. The food and sights in the area are great I wish i had more to put into words, but this location made such an unforgettable vacation for my family and I. I would love to come back one day.
